This support spindle has a bit more weight in the axis - it uses Morado (Rosewood) as the shaft which is a high density hardwood - the feel of it is more like a russian spindle where there's more heft in the axis but with lots of inertia due to the whorl's shape.
It has a long spin time.
Copper inlays helps with the weight distribution and the inertia.
