48g batt  (coloured batt only) + a sampler of the fibers used.

This is my personal ideal woolen sock blend - a soft but resilient fiber (Shetland), with a bouncy and hard to wear out wool (Dorset) and mohair to add extra strong resistance to friction (and extra warmth).

20% handprocessed mohair locks (dyed locally by Mots de Laine, no longer active)
40% handprocessed Shetland fleece I purchased raw from Susan Woodliffe (Foxhill Farms, Alberta)

40% Canadian Dorset fiber dyed locally by Urso Yarn co.
A dash of non treated merino (dyed by Mots de Laine) and wine red viscose.

This is a semi-blended batt, meaning every fiber was carefully opened and carded prior to being combined, then carded together or in alternating manner to create colour variations. Drafting out will happen easily but with slight changes of texture here and there.

There is only a small amount of vm in this preparation.

Pictures are not modified and are taken with natural lighting.
They are meant to show off the colours true to how they appear in person - different screens may alter the warmth or saturation slightly.
